The controller can function as a substitute for all of these controllers. The controller can also support XInput and DirectInput settings. All modern games will assist XInput, but some older games may only work with DirectInput. So having both settings is good.

What I Like About the Logitech F310 Controller
The controller works for almost every game I want to use. I also use Ubuntu, not Windows, so maybe there are some weird problems because of that. But overall, this controller works well on Windows 10 and Ubuntu. The controller is also lovely to use. It doesn’t feel cheap compared to other console controllers. The button layout is very familiar and works well.
One Thing I Don’t Like About Logitech F310
There is only one complaint I have. The cable is blocking. I tend to be upset about this. There are more expensive Logitech wireless controllers. F710 Wireless Gamepad. I tried the controller too. That solved the cable problem, but the controller had a problem.
Controller Comparison
Compared to the Xbox 360 Controller
I have never liked the original Xbox 360 controller. The directional pad is annoying to use. But the Xbox 360 is the last video game system that I have, and I enjoy playing it. I will not use this controller above Logitech F310.
Compared to the Xbox One Controller
The Xbox One controller is a significant improvement from the Xbox 360 controller. I buy this controller even though I don’t have an Xbox One. Why? I like how the controller feels. Wise input of this controller is almost the same as Logitech F310. Your preferences will decide which controller you like better. I love the symmetry that Logitech F310 was better.
I don’t like how the main joystick is above the secondary joystick on the Xbox One controller. A good bonus about this controller is that the original non-Bluetooth controller has a wireless dongle that you can buy. This turns the controller into a wireless controller. I bought this dongle, and I often use it when using Windows 10.
This wireless device doesn’t work on Ubuntu because of the patented Microsoft code. I finally gave a controller and wireless device to family members.
Compared to PlayStation 4 Dualshock Controller
I borrowed a PlayStation 4 controller from my friend. I like how the controller feels. This controller has a button layout that is almost the same as Logitech F310. But of course, the buttons are different. There is also a touchpad thingy in the middle of the controller.
Even though I liked this controller, I finally returned it to my friend. I like Logitech F310 a little more than this controller.
Compared with Steam Controller
I borrowed a Steam Controller from my friend (actually as friendly), and I hated it. I don’t like how the buttons feel. The controller feels strange to be held and used. I immediately returned it to my friend, and I said no thanks. I know some people like this controller, but I like more traditional controllers like Logitech F310.
Compared to Logitech F710 Wireless Gamepad
This controller is the same thing. Except the F710 is wireless and uses batteries.
Overall Thoughts About Logitech F310
This controller has a significant role in making me accept computer games and buy even more. This controller is cheap, and some of the first Steam games I played as I remember.
Overall I like this controller, and there is nothing wrong to say about it.
Do I Recommend This Controller?
I recommend this controller if you do not currently have a controller to use. However, if you already have a PlayStation or Xbox controller, both are valid options.
I personally had all three input methods because I like testing controllers. Remember, one of the beautiful things about computers is the fact that you can use whatever input method you want.
