Logitech G305 Gaming Mouse Review
Logitech G305 Gaming Mouse Review, Driver, Manual and Software – Logitech has produced a variety of wireless mice, ranging from pretty good to really extraordinary. It’s not ambitious enough to cover strange land, but rather a match for daily trials and PC game woes and productivity. This small, sleek, and intuitive gaming mouse works well and can’t be easier to use.
Those who need no-frills wireless gaming mouse from a prominent manufacturer without digging too deep in their wallets will find many things to like here.
The Design
The G305 looks almost identical to the Logitech G Pro gaming mouse to the back wheel scroll wheel and the slim thumb button. While the G305 doesn’t feature the thin strips of the G Pro illusion, instead it looks like someone took a machete into the G Pro wire.
However, that’s not a bad thing, because the G Pro is a slim and comfortable mouse with no free space at all. The size of the device is around 4.5 x 2.5 inches, and its height is only 1.5 inches. This mouse works for handgrips and claw players, and only 3.4 ounces, this is one of the thinner full-size wireless mice out there.
One of the drawbacks of the G305’s design is that it does not belong to this type of lighting, which has become a standard in Logitech mice that are even cheaper. However, that feature might raise the price by at least $ 10. And this is a purely aesthetic touch, so I can’t find it in my heart to feel very disturbed about it.
The Features
Thanks to the dongle that you can keep hidden inside the mouse itself, the G305 works wirelessly with any computer that is out of the box. You plug the dongle, and you’re ready to go, with four DPI sensitivity mounted directly to the mouse. With Logitech Gaming Software, you can also adjust the DPI settings and what the buttons do – nothing is too surprising there, but everything works as it should.
Wireless connectivity, as far as I can test, works ideally and from a distance of more than 10 feet, if you want to use the G305 in living room settings.
The greater problem is that the G305 seems to be the perfect content to offer wireless-only via a USB dongle. Some mouse competitors, such as the Razer Atheris, offer Bluetooth and USB wireless, as does Logitech’s productivity mouse. USB dongles work very well on computers but make the mouse unusable with smartphones, tablets, or game consoles. The G305 doesn’t really need Bluetooth, but including it will make the mouse feel a little stronger.

Performance
I run G305 through various games to evaluate how well it performs, including StarCraft: Remastered, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, Overwatch, and World of Warcraft. If you have ever owned a Logitech mouse, you will not be surprised to learn that the G305 handles everything I give with confidence.
The mouse does not handle specific genres better than others; it worked equally well to float around the battlefield, provide healing powers as Mercy or order my adventurous crew to sail around the Deadfire Archipelago. Because you can set as many different, specific game profiles as possible, and switch between up to five distinct DPI settings quickly, it’s hard to imagine a game where the G305 won’t perform well.
The Point
Logitech G305 is a simple and elegant mouse. It’s small and not cluttered, and the wireless features are as intuitive as they are. If you want to spend a lot of money and need customizable buttons and lots of pretty colors, $ 150 G900 might still be the way to go. If not, the G305 will function properly, for a fraction of the cost. However, when you pick it up, maybe take a pack of batteries for the road too.
The Bad > No Bluetooth connectivity, Requires AA batteries
The Good > Comfortable, sleek design, Great wireless features, Inexpensive, Easy to use
Conclusion > Those who want an inexpensive, high-quality, no-frills wireless gaming mouse will find a lot to like in the Logitech G305.
