Logitech G600 MMO Software Manual and Review – The Logitech G600 is one of the best gaming mice on the market. If you are looking for a mouse with more programmable buttons than you get, the G600 is worth the $ 80 price tag; even giving accessories from unique game accessory clothing like Razer for their money.

The G600 sports 20 programmable, clear buttons that fall into the “much more” hardware niche occupied by the Naga Razer MMO mouse. These two MMO mice compete with a price of $ 80. Another big win for Logitech is the software adjustment for the G600. I have never ever been a big fan of Razer competitor Synapse software; it’s not easy to use. It requires you to register with Razer first, but it does provide many customization options that greatly enhance Razer’s peripheral utility. The G600 software cannot match the Razer Synapse software in terms of features, but it is very close and proves to be easier to use.
Although it doesn’t have the Synapse capacity to program complex macros and assign them to various foreign buttons on your mouse, the Logitech driver software allows you to remap every button on the G600 quickly and easily. It also displays some of its tricks, including an automatic detection system that scans your hard drive for compatible games and then automatically changes the mouse layout to give you easy access to use buttons without having to remap the mouse yourself.
The Point
Although I cannot test this feature with every compatible game on my drive, the game that I am trying to replace the G600 to the intuitive default button layout, that is not only useful but also faster than the adjustment process for other mice.
While the software is a definite victory for Logitech, the mouse hardware itself has several problems. For starters, like almost every mouse with many of these buttons, many of them are too difficult to reach. The two bottom lines are challenging to reach, and clicking the two buttons under the mouse wheel with your middle finger while maintaining your index finger on the left mouse button requires dehumanizing dexterity.
The mouse will also not win any customers with its ergonomics. I have relatively large hands so that the G600 is uncomfortable for me to use personally, but it’s not hard to imagine users finding it difficult to apply for a long time. Other mice at this price point allow you to adjust the ergonomics to ensure your hands can rest comfortably, but the G600 does not have such features.
Apart from this hardware problem, the G600 is one of the most fun and easily customizable mice I have ever used. If functionality, not ergonomics, is your primary concern and you are looking for a quality MMO mouse, the G600 is a hard mouse to beat.
