Logitech G603 Lightspeed Mouse Review

Logisoftwaredrivers – Are you looking for Logitech G603 Lightspeed Mouse Software for Windows 10, 8.1, 8, & 7, as well as Mac OS, Mac OS X, Manual Settings, and Overview? Here we give it to you, below we provide a lot of software, and arrange manuals for your needs, also a brief review of the products you want.

Design

The shape of the G603 is almost indistinguishable from the G703. It’s got the same generic curve, the middle profile that works pretty well for those who prefer the palm grip and those who prefer the claw grip. It especially made for right-handed players, with the thumb button on the left and a gentle tilt towards the right side. Comfortable, but a bit generic.

The left side offers a pair of buttons that I find easy to reach with my thumb, and have excellent click actions for them. You can run additional game commands without pressing the mouse hard, but the control is not too sensitive so that you will activate it accidentally.

Above are the scroll wheel and one button (by default, it is set to browse DPI settings). The wheel has a nice full rubber handle and a click scrolling action. The left and right buttons have good audible clicks for them, with strong actuation powers suitable for various games. But those who like the quick throw action, soft touch to click very fast (like pro-RTS) might feel a little on the stiff side.

Features

The G603 doesn’t have any lighting, unlike most other Logitech gaming mice. The point of this mouse is the extreme battery life, and lighting consumes the battery quickly. The lack of RGB lighting was a benefit, or a weakness depends on your taste.

The upper shell held with a magnet: inside, you will find space for a pair of AA batteries. And a small slot to store a small USB radio receiver while you are traveling. By the way, the receiver is optional. The G603 also works with Bluetooth, even if you don’t get top-level gaming performance.

Under the mouse, you can find a switch to switch the mouse between “Performance.” And “Endurance” also button to flip between LIGHTSPEED and Bluetooth wireless receivers that are faster. What you would not find is a door to insert a small round disk used for the Logitech POWERPLAY mat. The accessory made for mice with batteries that are sealed and can be recharged, not AA, that can be removed.

Software

The G603 uses the Logitech Gaming Software that works well with all other peripherals & has the same important features without RGB lighting as the G703.

The main screen shows the battery life and what mode the mouse uses (Performance or Endurance). You can choose to use on-board mouse storage for a set of DPI and button assignments. Or use a profile based system that contains DPI settings and buttons based on which game you are launching. This software works perfectly, but honestly, without lighting to tweak, there is a small need for it, besides the customization options that are present are, of course, welcomed.

Logitech G603 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse

The game

The G603 is one of the first mice to use the new Logitech HERO (High-Efficiency Rated Optical) sensor. The company has spent several years designing these sensors and related electronics to deliver the same performance as the extraordinary PMW3366 sensor found in other high-end mice.

The sensor can tracks up to 400 inches per sec from 200 to 12,000 DPI and does not apply leveling or filtering. Combined with a 1 ms report rate and low latency, you get super responsive and very direct control that never feels like swimming, shaking, or losing track. I play Overwatch, Diablo III, and PUBG, and I like using the G703. In other words, it is easily as precise and responsive as the best cable mouse I have ever used.

However, there is a disadvantage in mice that use AA batteries instead of internal batteries, and that is heavy. The G603 weighs 136 grams with Duracell AA battery. That’s a bit heavy. But the mouse works well with a single AA battery installed, which lowers up to 113 grams. And the alkaline battery is rather massive. With one Amazon Basics AA Ni-MH rechargeable battery, the mouse only weighs 104 grams. And of course, a difference in weight of just a few grams will only mean to severe gamers.

The Bad

  • Battery not rechargeable
  • Fewer features than other Logitech mice
  • Massive, thanks to the batteries
  • Difficult to say how durable the buttons will be over time

The Good

  • Convenient design
  • Good price
  • 500 hours of high-performance gaming from two AA batteries
  • Great wireless performance

Conclusion

Choosing a wireless mouse for PC gaming has always been a difficult choice. You can get one that performs as well as a wired mouse, with accurate tracking and very low latency, and deals with frequent charging. Or you can get a “regular” wireless desktop mouse that lasts for months but doesn’t have the PC performance gamers crave for. With the G603, you will finally have your cake and eat it too.
