Logitech G635 Gaming Headset Review
Design
The G635 is a comfortable gaming headphone, but it is one of the most stringent headsets we have reviewed so far. Padding on this model is made of breathable mesh and feels soft on the skin. The glass is broad and extensive and must fit most ear sizes & shapes. They are comfy to wear for a while, but if you have a bigger head, this can get uncomfortable rather quickly.
Logitech G635 has a grand control scheme for gamers. You have access to the volume wheel, a micro-mute button, and three mappable buttons that you can set whatever you want in their application. You also get an option to choose between when you use a headset with a 1/8 “connector or with a USB connector. The buttons offer useful feedback, and ridges make it easier to distinguish different buttons, but maybe you need a few moments to feel the keys around it to make sure which one you will press.
Logitech G635 is very similar in design to the Logitech G935, except they connected by cable. Both are new models from the Logitech G633 and the previous Logitech G933. Their overall appearance is still the same, with a great design that shows without a doubt that they are gaming headphones. They are not outdoor-friendly, and when supported by their USB cable, you get RGB lighting on the logo and strip on the back of the ear cups. Their cups are bigger and more square than most other game brands. You can also fold the microphone to hide it, but the mic won’t be suitable for external use, although you can use it with your phone.
Features
These headphones are quite tight on the head but sway slightly with head movements. They will not be ideal for sports activities, but this should not be a problem during casual play sessions. However, be careful that the cable does not get caught or stuck in something because it can pull the headphones out of your head before removing them.
There seems to be no real improvement in the durability of the G633 and G933 in terms of build quality. These headphones are still well built but a bit plasticky. They also squeak a little when manipulated. On the plus side, the headband is flexible but sturdy thanks to the reinforcing metal frame. The cup is quite stable, and the backplate is magnetic & easily removable. Yet, this isn’t as useful as the G935 because it doesn’t need storage space for a wireless dongle. You can also fold the microphone when you are not using it, which is good. You can use a USB cable or 1/8 “, which means they can be replaced if ever damaged.

These gaming headphones are compatible with all platforms because both have audio and microphone support via USB and analog connections. For PC & PS4, you can use both, but a USB one is needed to get access to the G Hub application on the PC. However, you cannot use a USB cable on the Xbox, and you must connect the headphones to the controller using a 1/8 “TRRS cable.
Support
These gaming headphones are compatible with the all-new Logitech G Hub application available on Windows & Mac. This software is the most complete we’ve ever seen. It offers many customization options such as surround sound, 10-band EQ, and control over your Lightsync RGB lighting. And also you get many options and controls for sound and headset microphones. You can map the headphone button to various sound profiles, functions, and commands related to your PC’s system settings. You also can launch programs, your favorite games, manage macros, or even manage your music, which is very convenient. But, you only have three buttons to map.
The Bad
Very bulky design
Poor isolation performance
Sensitive to glasses
Sound delivery varies significantly across different users
The Good
Amazing app support
Great audio reproduction
Comfortable and durable build
Conclusion
Logitech G635 is a good gaming headphone with excellent sound quality. Their cable connection is versatile and can be used with all platforms, which is convenient. They are comfortable, but their design is quite large and does not isolate noise. Their microphone is also a bit bright, but people still have to listen to you. On the bright side, their companion software offers a lot of controls and customization options, and that is one of the most useful & complete game applications we have seen so far.
