Logitech K830 Review
It’s a good thing to have a built-in web browser on a smart TV, Blu-Ray player, or almost any smart device on the market. But utilizing intelligent features can be annoying. How? Its user interface. Try entering e-mails or sentences using the TV remote control and start selecting letters on the on-screen keyboard. Soon, users will begin to wonder why manufacturers are crazy enough to even throw browsers on products.
It’s one of the main reasons why most smart devices now come with physical keyboards. Any old keyboard can be used, but that means partnering with a mouse. So why not be satisfied with functionality in a single and organized device?
That’s where Logitech K830 will enter.
This device offers a compact and sleek appearance. The size is 14.4 “x 4.9” x 0.65. “Weighing only 17.5 oz.
The keyboard uses a QWERTY layout along with low profile keys. Its small size doesn’t have a numeric keypad. But on a pros note, the K830 offers a touchpad that works in the right area.
Right above the touchpad, there are three shortcut keys with volume controls. It contains mute, volume up, and volume down. The top row of buttons contains secondary feature tasks such as closing windows, blowing up desktops, pausing/playing, and searching media content. The top of the device includes a micro USB (for charging purposes), a power switch, and a left mouse button. That is very important when K830 secured.
The top and bottom pages, as well as the home-end, are seen as arrow keys, and Fn-shifted.
Features
The Logitech K830 is a living room keyboard with illumination properties. It’s a closet-sized keyboard that covers most of its surface. Trackpad, with a size of 79mm x 51mm, is located on the far right. The trackpad contains the left-right buttons situated below it.
The K830 works through Logitech’s wireless connectivity system to its “Unifying Receiver” or small dongle. The dongle is connected directly to the USB socket. The communication system is Bluetooth and cannot be used openly with other Bluetooth devices.
The keyboard receiver is capable of supporting a maximum of six Logitech compatible keyboards and mice. That means it can add more devices without relying on additional USB sockets. That will be useful if the user prefers to use the mouse rather than the trackpad. The majority of manufacturer’s wireless devices function this way.
The keyboard includes a pre-installed lithium polymer rechargeable battery. Charging the K830 is enough to last several years. If you use the backlight, it will reduce longevity to about twenty more hours.
Software
The software allows for the function keys to be able to switch between standard PC functions and media functions by checking the box at the bottom of the first screen after the software opened. Another essential feature of this program is that it provides a swift graphical representation of the K830 battery status.
Discussing gestures, the last tab of the companion software allows certain gesture behaviors to be changed or deactivated. It makes the use of the K830 completely customizable.

Conclusion
The Logitech K830 keyboard is an excellent accessory for your home entertainment settings. That gives you the ability to easily control your media player from the comfort of your couch without having to configure a universal remote control. The keyboard is straightforward to use, compact enough to be comfortable to use on your lap, and at an affordable price point.
