Logitech M280 Wireless Mouse Review

Logitech M280 Wireless Mouse Review, Driver, Manual and Software  –  I cannot say that I have ever bought a mouse, based on its appearance, but this is genuinely adorable. If it’s not a mouse, it’s almost sure it will become a Pokemon and squeak its name every time you click it.

Logitech envelops a small pointer on one of the scissor-only hard plastic covers, matching the thin user manual (only) and the mouse itself. By opening the bottom of the M280, thanks to a strong push and sliding using the fingertips, it shows an AA battery slot and a micro receiver stored in a slot next to it – almost like every other wireless mouse ever made.

I think that would be a pretty challenge to remove the receiver (like almost every other wireless mouse ever made). Still, it has a cleverly cut grove to its side, which makes it easy to hold and, more importantly, makes it insert it into a USB port on the first try even easier.

Aesthetics and comfort

As the photos show, my photogenic test unit is a small sapphire blue number and eliminates mundanity from a tedious office environment. And that not only looks good too.

The Logitech M280 is a hand-sized recliner, which does an extraordinary job of holding a finger that is too tired. Very comfortable to use. As a right-handed man, it’s perfect, especially for my medium-sized hands, but even small hands will be easy to use.

There is a common problem with lefty – you might not benefit from the dramatic rubber curve coming out of the M280 side. But, at least for me, it was very comfortable.

The middle scroll wheel is strangely fun to touch too. It’s not round like most mice, but it is angled sharply, so the roll feels safe and confident. That is a small detail, but it tends to make or break a simple device. Manufacturers tend to forget this.

Performance

Regarding mouse behavior, I don’t expect performance to rival its gaming brother – the G402 Hyperion Fury. Indeed, the rat kicked the butt. M280? Fewer kicks and more cheats.

Of course, this mouse made by considering usability, not accuracy, so let’s look at its strong points.

For starters, the invisible optical laser on the back is smoother than my older Logitech infrared wired mouse. Clicks are also more precise, with a slight difference in tone between right and left clicks – small but satisfying details. And the click for one button is also substantial – there’s no “wait, do I click on that link?” Doubt when using M280.

Also, clicks not easily pressed when fingers are or are to resting on them, something I hate with specific mice.

Portability and practicality

It is portable, but it’s not the smallest or most portable wireless mouse I’ve ever used. With that, the lower you tend to make the mouse more uncomfortable. M280 is a slap in the middle between chunky and compact. Real practicality is one thing, so does it play well with Windows? Of course yes

With the battery placed in his bed, the mouse isn’t the lightest on the planet, and that’s probably his most significant criticism. Oh, and the thumb button will be fun, too, especially for those who use it regularly. That is not a total deal-breaker.

Value for price

At a price of US $ 29 and around R400, this mouse isn’t cheap, but this mouse is made sturdy, comfortable, easy to use, and quite handsome.

There is another wireless mouse at a lower price, which weighs less and is designed to be ambidextrous, but frankly, I have this mouse in this price range above other travel mice. That’s all you need.

The Point

While Logitech continues its pro-right-handed attitude, Logitech also continues to make some better mice. M280 is just another peripheral that highlights building quality and excellent corporate design knowledge. With the exceptional appearance, comfort, usability, and portability, it’s hard to beat the M280. But if you are looking for a few more features or options for both hands, there are better pointing devices out there.

But for left-handed people, rejoice, because M280 is the travel mouse you’ve been waiting for.
