Logitech MK550 Wireless Wave Combo Review
Logitech MK550 Driver and Software – Boasting contoured, a slightly curved keyboard, and a smooth and large mouse, the Logitech Wireless Wave Combo MK550 bundle can be the right thing for a typist with a sore wrist and tendon, provided you are warm with wave-like form factors.
Design
The K350 is one of the most significant keyboards I’ve ever tested. Indeed, if you extend your hind legs two steps to full height (which supports the keyboard to 8 degrees), the keyboard rises to a total height of 2.5 inches – so high that it blocks my keyboard tray from slipping, back to my desk. Fortunately, the second step of two retractable legs can lift the keyboard only 4 degrees, shaving half an inch from the overall height.
Besides its impressive height, the K350 also offers a padded armrest. The keyboard itself is slightly curved and contoured in a waveform, making a pair of dips where A, S, D, F, and J, K, L, and semicolon buttons sit. Logitech said the so-called “Comfort Wave Design” intended to “support your actual and varied finger length.” We will learn the right feel of the keyboard in a moment.
Other design features that draw attention to the K350 are its line of hotkeys and controls. Complete with a middle volume switch surrounded by media playback buttons, prominent buttons for Photos, Music, Windows Media Center (which maps Groove Music in Windows 10), Settings and Display Tasks, plus Zoom switches, hotkeys for Microsoft Word, Excel, Edge, Search, E-mail, and others.
Connectivity
Both the MK550 keyboard & mouse connect to the PC via a wireless 2.4GHz USB dongle, which is connected and works instantly without the need for drivers. The MK550 wireless connection never fell or stuttered during my test, and both the keyboard and mouse quickly reconnected after sleeping after a period of inactivity.

While Logitech says, the MK550 will only work with Windows PCs, keyboard, and mouse combos connected to my iMac. Because there is no Mac version of the SetPoint Logitech software, however, Mac users will not be able to customize the MK550 shortcut keys.
The nuances of typing
As for the keys themselves, they are disappointing “meh” considering the price of the keyboard. While the carved design of the key makes discovery easy, the key cover feels empty and inexpensive, and there are a lot of click-clicks when you type. On the plus side, the MK550 key has a solid tactile protrusion in the middle of each keypress, along with a reasonably sharp reflection.
Mouse
The 4-ounce mouse bundled in the MK550 package feels impressive, complete with pleasant weights, rubber handle, smooth scroll wheel, and excellent-clicking action. In addition to doubling as the middle button, the scroll wheel can also be pushed left or right; by default, scroll the current page left or right accordingly. Ultimately, you get two more side buttons, but only on the left side of the mouse, a nuisance for lefties.
Each mouse button (including left and right scroll wheel clicks) can be programmed through the neat Logitech Options application. It offers functions ranging from switching applications and minimizing windows to launching programs or setting keystrokes. You can even adjust mouse movements to trigger dozens of possible PC actions.
Conclusion
Large, airy, happy hotkey and ergonomic minded, the Logitech Wireless Wave Combo MK550 can be a ticket for Windows users whose sore fingers need to rest. That said, we hope the hard keys on the MK550 keyboard feel more significant, while the mouse that included is designed primarily by considering the right.
