The mouse is designed with a contoured design and side grip made of soft rubber that is comfortable to hold. Left-handed users will also be pleased to find that the ergonomics of this mouse designed with an ambidextrous design optimized for both left and right hand.

Performance

Both the keyboard & mouse have impressive battery life. The keyboard lasts up to 36 months with only two AA batteries, and the mouse can last up to 24 months with only one AA battery. Logitech’s Unifying USB Receiver is also included in the package, allowing the keyboard and mouse to work directly without installing the software.

But we recommend installing the Logitech Options software to adjust mouse settings because we found that the one-notch adjustment in the system preferences of the standard mouse changed from a little too slow to a little nervous. With Logitech software, it’s not difficult to find the ‘right’ settings.

Both the keyboard and mouse are equipped with a power switch, perhaps to help save AA batteries (which included). Logitech claims 36 months of battery life for the keyboard and 24 months for the mouse. Although the keyboard sleeps to save power when it is off, the keyboard will come back to life after you start typing again, and even the keystroke first registered on the computer.

As usual, for non-Bluetooth wireless peripherals, both are connected to the same (small) USB transceiver. In thoughtful design, there is room to store the transceiver in the keyboard battery compartment.
